		ALGE Conference & AGM
		The 2009 ALGE Conference and AGM will be held on 25th November in Birmingham at Conference Aston . Attendance by anyone with an interest in ecology and local government is welcome. The programme looks at new ways of delivering biodiversity. Further details are now published along with registration details in our 'Resources' section.

		ALGE 2010 Conference date announced
		The date for the 2010 ALGE Conference has been confirmed. It will be held on 23rd November at the LGA's Local Government House, Smith Square, London. The programme is currently being developed and will focus on the changing face of biodiversity delivery in light of the new Government and reviews and studies that are underway. It is intended that the programme will include: UK National Ecosystem Assessment Project; The Economics of Ecology and Biodiversity; Lawton Review; landscape scale biodiversity delivery; green credits and land banking. The conference will also include the Annual General Meeting of the Association. Full details of the conference programme and instructions for registration will be sent out in due course - in the meantime, get the date in your diary so you don't miss out on what promises to be an interesting day.
